We here at Animal Ark are committed to do our bit and help animals in need.

It all started for us when we rescued our first cat in 2019. At first we caught him (Mr Moosh Moosh) with the intention to find him a home, as we had been made aware that he and his colony were being trapped and poisoned on a construction site due for completion. Already having a dog of our own we didn't think having a cat was for us but we soon fell in love and the rest is as they say …history.

As we grew to learn more about cats after rescuing Moosh, especially over kitten season we came to know how many stray cats were out there sick, hungry and how often an un-desexed cat could have babies. We educated ourselves on diseases and infections cats caught as strays and the statistics blew our minds. To think there were so many like Moosh out there sick , hungry, in the cold or heat, getting hit by cars and abused by nasty people made us feel terrible so we decided to do something about it

Animal Ark was set up as a charity in 2021 as we came to the realization that this is a HUGGGGEEE task and one we cannot do alone.
